James comes to CMS with over two decades of commercial, non-profit, and government service. He most recently served as the purchasing manager of a private label company in New England where he also controlled importation and directed warehouse operations.
James served over a decade in the United States Navy at locations worldwide. After leading the Navigation Department of a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, James served several years at a training command in Japan. There, he was instrumental in a Navy-wide effort to re-conceptualize, modernize, and metrically quantify U.S. Navy training for the 21st century.
James can adeptly improve business processes and locate reform points within organizational practices. His ability to lead and mentor small and medium sized teams within resource-limited operations make James an asset to CMS.
James graduated from Wesleyan University with a dual degree in government and philosophy. He has a passion for constitutional law and public policy, and he enjoys cooking, fitness, cycling, and hiking.
